Administrative Support Assistant 3

The Graduate Program in Acoustics is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as the Resident Student Coordinator.

Responsibilities include supporting graduate students through the entire cycle of their graduate program including inquiries, admissions, matriculation, classes, thesis, examinations, graduation, and alumni activities; supporting the Director of the Acoustics Program in all operations of the Program; corresponding with The Graduate School; managing the admissions process and Program communication; scheduling courses and special events; supervising an Administrative Assistant Level 2; managing additional wage payroll employees; arranging for visits by prospective students; ordering supplies; working with faculty; and other duties as assigned.

Typically requires a high school diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience with student advising or student services preferred and experience with Development and Alumni Relations is helpful. Superlative and friendly communication skills required, experience with LionPATH and Microsoft Office essential, and excellent time management skills and professionalism are needed. Employee will need to use Workday, IBIS, and GRADs which means these skills must be learned within a few weeks of employment.

Employee is the lead staff member in Acoustics, is responsible for the resident graduate students, and backs up another staff member who is responsible for the distance education graduate students.
