Graduate Program in Acoustics

How to apply:

The process of applying for admission to graduate school at Penn State requires the following application materials, some of which are submitted to The Graduate School (items 1. and 2. below), and others that should be sent directly to this graduate program (items 3. through 9. plus one copy of 1. if not applying electronically):
  1. An official GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION.
  2. Application fee ($45.00 U.S. or $60.00 U.S., depending upon the application format selected).
  3. Official transcripts (two (2) copies).
  4. Application for a U.S. Visa (International Students Only).
  5. GRE test scores.
  6. TOEFL scores. (International Students Only).
  7. Two letters of recommendation.
  8. Resume.
  9. Statement of purpose.

Downloadable Application

The Downloadable Application is available in two versions: the View and Print version allows you to print the unfilled form and fill it out with a typewriter or by hand and the Type On and Print version which allows you to fill out the form in Acrobat and then print out the final version.

Please note that you must print out at least two (2) copies of the GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION (pages one and two), and at least one copy of the APPLICATION FEE FORM (page three). You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the downloadable application.
